Default eton 90 viper top end rebuild?

didn't have much luck in getting the year on this but it is a Eaton 90 viper and pretty sure it a 03 rather then 00. any way was wondering does anyone still bore the jugs or just but a new one in a top end kit? would it ever make sense to just put in new rings? if i was to go with a top end kit do i go stock or bigger? i was thinking if i go bigger what kind of carb work or problems will there be? if i stay stock there shouldn't be much carb tweaking to do? next where is the best place to find the parts or kits? looking for any thoughts or inputs on this thanks.

Welcome to the forums.
Yes, we bore the cylinders.
Rings only: this will not come close to fixing your problem. You need a new piston/bore.
If you go with a bigger cc kit (like some offer) most buy a new reed cage and carb as the stocker don't seem to work well with mods.
I don't feel the reed is the problem especially if it's sucking in air. You can check it.
As for the year, don't matter. All are pretty much the same. Kasea/eton/polaris/ and some other mini motor top ends will fit.
What you have there is called a "jog" motor cuz they originally came out of a Yamaha Jog. It's a scooter.
I can help you get parts or.....
Hetrick racing
WRH racing
IMO, stay away from Joe the plumbers mini atv parts on the internet.
Me or the above live mini's and can provide after the sale info.

put the top end together and the thing runs like a champ rear brakes and wheel bearings next. after checking things out found that the rings where worn almost to nothing less then a 16th of an inch on the bottom of the cylinder!
