hey everyone. I got rear ended on my last hunting trip and my muffler got trashed. I was looking at a stock muffler and they run about $150.00. for $180 I can get the big gun slip on exhaust and it's stainless so I don't have to deal with the rusting that my factory exhaust was doing. Is this a good muffler for the price? Also will I need a controller to adjust the mixture? I don't want to screw with the controler so that would be a deal breaker. thanks

 

if your getting the eco muffler, i ordered one from ebay and it didn't fit, called big gun about it and all they said is that it should fit, but idk, i don't think u need to get a programmer for it

 

wow it didn't fit?? what were the fitment issues??

 

wouldn't even bolt on to the factory brackets, i didn't get any adaptors for it. it was a good 4 inches from even hooking up to the pipe

 

I PUT a hmf swamp series on mine 4 months and 600 miles ago..it is not the xl but the quiet one...had to modify the lower mount slightly as it was for an 09 and mines a 10...yes they are different....it sounds good .... i also added the k & n filter at the same time...so far i have not needed a fuel controller. the only thing different i did was switched from 87 octane to 91 octane fuel.....yes i think it made a difference in power..
