if you plan on doing tight woods riding once in awhile id rather be on a 450, but more wide open trails the ds650 is hard to beat

why not a raptor 700?....i have a yfz450x and it is GREAT i love it...never got to ride a 700 before but i know that they are great in the woods and they are fast...but my X is good in the woods too but i have no reverse (not much of a problem really) and also my first gear is very tall...i can go almost 40mph in 1st gear and so sometimes if the trail isnt very fast ill stall or ill have to clutch....another than that i love my X

Yeah, I think a KFX 450 is for you. skinny enough for a trail quad, reverse and excellent power

yeah i heard that the KFX450r is great in the woods ...i was originally going to buy that because it had reverse ...also i heard the gearing on it is lower, which is perfect for the woods...it wont have as high of a top speed as the raptor or YFZ though

I can tell u that I ride my ds650 only on trails and love it for a lot of first off im 6ft tall and 225lbs it the only sport quad ive rode that I fit on second ive yet to meet a 450 that can beet me on the top end but in all fairness they are faster off the line but I can tell u the best way to find out if u really want one it to find a friend with one and switch quads for a day and see if u like it better the only big problem I have with my ds is it has no reverse but none of my 2strokes did

WOW! That was painful. I'm guessing that they don't teach spelling, grammar, or punctuation any longer!?!?!

dont get the 450, keep the 650 and gear it down to 15t front sprocket. that will help u with woods riding.
