Got a late 04 efi 700 sportsman with no spark. from what I think it's my cdi box any one ever test? or know anything about it?

 

The Ignition coil is the cheapest and the most probable, I heard of stators going much more that a CDI. All three parts when not working will cause no spark. Also a bad plug, but imagine you tried a new plug.

as stuid as it sounds I did not try a new plug. I will throw one in tonight just for the fun of it. What I did do is I took a test light and turned the machine over the stator is delivering powere to the voltage reg. I then took the wire harnes comming from the cdi box off the coil and did the same thing no juci is delivering to coil. I tried to test the ohms on the coil and I'm not getting anything but not sure if I'm doing it correctly.

 

new plug no spark. just ordered a manual for help.
