Plastic Maier "Add-on" fenders to replace stock 300EX fenders?
#1
Hello,
I just bought my son a used 1998 300EX. The previous owner had cut the front fenders down for the "racing" look. There is still about two inches of plastic sticking out where the fenders were, but no protection from the mud for trail riding. I called Maier to get a "standard" fender piece, and was told that you have to buy the "racing" piece, and the the "add-on" fender pieces. You then screw the "add-on" fenders to the "racing" plastic. Has anyone done this, it sounds kind of hokey? On the other hand, does any one know if the Maier plastic add-ons are the same shape as the stock honda plastic, so that they might fit on my cut stock fenders?
Thanks,
Lorrin Lee
