Default DS650 upgrades advice?

Hello everyone!

I have a 2002 DS650 Baja. Last March we took the family to Winchester Bay Oregon. My cousin has a stock YZF450 quad. We raced on flat sand and up banshee hill. He spanked me every time. I have since purchased a Team Alba stage 2 kit that included a over rev box, full pipe, race valves and spring which I had professionally installed. I also put on a twist throttle on it. I am looking at different carbs to buy right now. I was thinking about the TM45, what do you guys think? Also any other recommendations to help me regain my pride at the dunes would be very appreciated

TM45/48's are nice but I prefer the Lectron myself. Easier to deal with with drastic elevation changes. Just a twist of the metering rod and you're done. With the TM family you have to rejet. No biggie but just my preference.
Make sure your intake is ported to match the carb. Was your head ported while you had it off getting the valves done? Kinda go hand in hand...
You're off to a decent start but the pursuit never ends! Welcome to the forums.

yes it will just get the correct needle and power jet from omw or you can send him the intake and carb so he can port and tune the carb correctly. And you will be on your way.
