warrior won't idle
#1
I am looking at buying a 2004 yamaha warrior and the owner says it won't idle. Supposely he installed a carb kit but no change. Anyone seen any common problems. Carb, timing, or ? He says it runs good other than the idling problem.

check to make sure the idle screw is the right one, meaning that it touches the throttle slider. i bought one and someone put the wrong screw in and it was too short and the engine wouldn't idle, i welded a small piece of rod onto the end to lenghten it and it idles now and i can adjust it like it's suppose to. never know what someone will do that has no idea how to work on these things and mess it all up with just a simple little screw that the wrong one.
good luck.
good luck.
