02 Baja, blown valve cover gasket, milky crap clogging vent tube the culprit?
#1
Just recently purchased this DS. (720 BB, ported head, web cams, +1mm valves, big carb, full exhaust)
Was running STRONG.. then I noticed white junk leaking from the crank breather onto the swingarm back there. lots of it. Thick, milky, nasty crap.
Little while later, climbing a dune, The valve cover gasket blows out rather spectacularly with a huge cloud of burnt oil smoke as oil it shot onto the header pipes.
Got home, fixed gasket, started motor.
Some milky crap dripped out the OPEN vent tube.
Drained oil from case, not much crap. Oil looked decent.
Checked radiator, greeeeeeeeen as could be.
Fresh oil, now it might drip a drop or two out the open tube while running, not milky.
Oil in tank looks clean.
Any Ideas?
Here is my DS sitting... broken.
