Default 4WD wiring problems

I have a 2006 Sportsman 500 EFI, i went to plow today and noticed the 4WD symbol was not showing up on speedo, switch was in AWD looked underneath at the differential and the wires going into the diff hade been tangled up in front axle and had cut themselves off at the diff. Any suggestions on what to do or has anyone had this happen before

Gonna have to splice them back together, if they pulled out of diff you have to take diff apart and find where it started,

the 2 wires are still poking out of the diff, the one is about 1" sticking out and the other is just poking out, has anyone had to replace these wires? or spliced them back to together?

if you cant spice them together the way they are from not enough wire showing then you must take it apart to either replace the wire form source or get enough wire to spice into. imo

should be different colors on the wires, I would probably solder them thenthen tape and heat shrink, tie them up well so it doesnt happen again
