just joined the forum seemed like a great place for info.

i just bought a 01 ds650 that seems to have a few mods is there anything i need to know about these things?

Welcome to the forum. Do a search of the forum for all of your maintenance needs first and foremost. The first oil change will leave you scratching your head, but once you've done it a time or two there will be no more messes and it'll be a piece of cake. Learn to do your valves and study up on the carb. Great machines but they are aging and need a little TLC on occasion.
What all mods do you have?

 

ive done some research on keeping it up. im not sure what mechanicly it has done but i know it has a slip on muffler, twist throttle (which i hate), k&n filter, and it runs like its been jetted but its not right for here, it also has some name engraved on the head thats cycle something i cant think of it lol
