Default 2001 sporstman 90 no spark

old stator tested out bad according to multimeter, replaced the stator, cleaned flywheel, new battery, tested coil, tried a couple spark plugs, tested kill switch, key switch, tether switch, tried throttle safety switch disconnected, still no spark with electric start or kick.
Was told that somebody jumped it with a car battery jumper to start it a couple years ago, fired up and quit hasnt ran since.
Thinking possibly the cdi is bad, but hate to spend the $ if im wrong.

Wondering also if one should be able to light a test light on the ignition power wire from the stator to the cdi (blk/red) wire, because this one wont, although my multimeter shows it is producing some power.

the red and the white wires out of the stator for the charging system will light a test light

trigger coil is producing a signal for the cdi

Under normal circumstances, its always the stator(I replaced quite a few) in the 01 and 02 models,I never replaced a bad coil or cdi. BUT since you've changed stator and trigger coil showing power and tested the coil, ign switch, safety switch, and starter interlock switch, you've pretty well eliminated every thing except the cdi! Jumping these little 4 amp batteries can mess up a lot of stuff! Like the manual says: no test for the cdi, REPLACE with known good one! Hope you get it running. OPT
