so heres my dilemma. i got an 05 polaris trail boss 330. that the timing wont advance the 30 degrees necessary at 5000 rpms. it acts like the spark is cuitting out when the rpms go up. it has a brand new cdi. i switched the coils with a known good coil. and im wondering if the pickup coil can be making it mess up like this. or if anyone has a trailboss that runs good can you check to see if the outer tab that the pickup coil reads on the magneto is supposed to be magnetized. in my manual it mentions this, and mine has no magnetic pull on it at all except on the inside for the stator to generate charging. i have completely bypassed the whole electrical system accept for the three things i need to run so i know its not the throttle or rev limiter messing with it. its really got me. and i ohmed the pickup coil and its supposed to have 520 ohms but has 535. i dont know if this matters or not. any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.
