Thumbs up Got a new ride!(new to me)

Hi All,

i just bought a 04 AC 500i 5speed 4x4.It has 20 hrs. on it,and 142 miles! Not kidding. The thing is cherry.I paid 2800.00 for it.Did i do ok??Anyway,i'll be using it for pushing snow, hauling firewood, and some trail ride'in.Just wondering what are anything to look out for with this model, any must have cheap upgrades.Everything just looks new on it,garaged kept.I changed the axles oil,and tranny.Took to shop they cleaned the carb(it was gummed up from sitting).Runs like atop.I just never owned an AC before. But i'm digging it.well thanks for any help.

I'd say you got the buy of the year. I love my 500 auto. Had it for about 4 years and it has been geat. Tough machine. Lots of ground clearance.

I woud put di-electric grease into all electrical connections to prevent corrosion. Run some Seafoam carb cleaner through ir periodically.

Have fun!

keep seafoam and stabil in gas tank when sittin and turn the gas off too will make needle and seat last, change engine oil regularly and it will last a long time

thanks for the replys, yeah, everything you 2 said good common sense.I do take care of my stuff,so i don't anticipate to many problems. The muffler is rusted, but it looks like plenty of life left. The bike is all stock, and original. It also came with a Warn 2500 winch all mounted up from the factory.Gotta love that!

Forgot to add, if you get the winch under water, disassemble & clean it at least every 2 years
