Default 1999 Sportsman front hub fluid

I was alwasy told the my front hubs for my 1999 sprotsman take ATF so i desided to go with the best Ams oil ATF, but now seems i have a seeping problem with my iner seal, was wondering if i should switch to somthing diffrent like gear oil, or somthing like that? thanks for any input.

Probably because of age of seals (12 years old) not the ATF fluid,no matter which brand! I would replace both the hub and strut seals,if not the others will usually start leaking also.I used ATF on the early models because it called for it,but I don't think they would have gone to Demand drive hub fluid if it wasn't better for the bearings and seals. I'm not really sure if the Demand Plus hub fluid has seal conditioners or not,BUT since a bottle will last a long time and cost factor not that much different, I would go with the fluid designed for it. Thanks for the info, i'll replace the seals and see how that pans out, it kinda started when I put spacers and lift on the front with wide tires.
