Well i went look at my bike the other day and unfourtunately i have a oil/antifreeze mixture leaking from the weep hole on the water pump. the mechanical seal is relatively new but i know that i will not be able to get it out without damaging so im wondering if anyone has ever crossed the mechanical seal or found one cheaper than the typical $40-$50

 

There are two companies that I know of: Windsor and SIDDHI seals(siddhi located in India!) that have mechanical seals similar to the OEM,but you would have to cross match if possible. There are markings on bottom of Polaris seals,BUT I never paid much attention,could show a number or source of manufacture. BUT bottom line,cost of time,energy,trying to find a replacement OR who is the supplier/maker of Polaris seals and getting the RIGHT one,may cost more than just getting one from Polaris and be done with it! OPT
