2007 sportsman 500EFI cooling problem??

Not 100% on the new ones but on my older 02 it was a thermo sensor. It threaded into the radiator. When it got to a certain temp it kicked the fan on. On the old ones you could pull them out and check the resistance and pu it in a pot of water and as you heat it you can check to see if it is changing.
The new ones may even have a fuse not sure at all though. Good luck

On the newer ones the water sensor tells the fan to turn on, Part #4.

Get a toggle switch and an inline fuse and wire it in. If you are going to use this permanently you may want to get a temperature gauge so you know when to turn it on and off.
Just a thought but you didn't just drain all the coolant and refill it. Sometimes air is still in the system and has to be "burped" out. The air will not heat up the sensor and turn it on.
Sorry about the bad advice on the sensor I haven't worked on a new one.

if unhooking the sensor kicks the fan on(it's designed to do that) then you know the fan is fine and most likley a bad sesnor or maybe connection.
