Default 04 Arctic Cat 650 has no electric

I have an Arctic Cat 650 that is electrically dead. It started then would not start an hour later. There is no electric activity, no lights, no power to the winch, nothing. I charged the battery and everything came on a few hours later. I started the ATV, then turned off and tried again, everything was dead again. Thought maybe a short in the battery, so I replaced it. Everything came on, I turned the key off and it was dead again and nothing worked. The battery itself reads over 12 volts when metered. The atv has not been moved and all of this has taken place in a stationary position, so not like anything is being jarred loose.

I have tried using the pull cord and it will not start the atv either. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I'm not even sure where to look.

Thanks for any help.

Check and make sure the ground to the ATV is OK. Not sure if it grounds to the engine or frame.
