Have you checked into just replacing the rear or front sprockets if aftermarket ones are available??
Dropping a tooth on the front sprocket or going a couple or three teeth larger on the rear will give you more "grunt' without a huge loss in speed! Just a thought! OPT

A full exhaust system along with a good aftermarket filter are the most common bolt-ons to open up response all through the power-band, and that's what I recommend to you. This will let your engine breath better and release gases more efficiently. But don't forget to re-jet to get that right fuel-to-air ratio. Other than that, you can always go down a tooth on your front sprocket to gain a bit of acceleration down low, this will also steal from your top end though.

All in all, there's many exhaust brands out there, just do your research. Another thing is you might wanna save up just a bit more.

Finally found someone who shares my feeling on the K&N and dirt! I still believe they are good for the street, but UNI is best at trapping dirt and sand. Every off road KTM,Husky,or Husaberg we sold had an oiled foam filter whether it was a 2-stroke or 4 stroke, same for most other off road brands. I've seen the damage that can happen with the K&N. An atv shares the same dirt, sand and mud as a dirt bike.PLUS I never even liked the paper element filter even with the sleeve that Polaris has provided on all the atvs. An Uni is a more logical choice to protect the engine. BUT I'm sure I will get protests on this from K&N users who will swear by them! I even have an UNI in my old Honda Nighthawk! OPT

Like any good lesson learned, it has to be learned the hard way. Like I said before, I will continue to use K&N in all my onroad vehicles and my mud truck and jeep too. But with the drought we've had in Florida there is nowhere that isn't EXTREMELY dusty, that's how I learned my lesson about using one on my 4wheeler. I even had a pre-filter and after EVERY ride no matter if it's just a couple hours near the house or an all day event, I would have to spend time taking the filter off, cleaning it, waiting for it to dry, oil, re-oil the spots that didn't take on the first go-round, then put the pre-filter back on and reinstall it. That SUCKS. I know the UNI will have somewhat the same process, but a buddy of mine has a uni and can go several rides before he has to wash his out and re-oil. Even then it's just preventative maintinance because his still isn't half as bad as my K&N gets after one ride. I highly doubt that even the ones that go in the airbox would last much longer than a clamp-on, unless you live somewhere that it rains in the off chance that it's not snowing all the time
