I am interested in changing from the stock 25" tires and rims over to Aluminum rims and 26" blackwaters. My question is, will this sap power from my Praire 300, I know that steel rims and biger tires would, but maybe the weight savings by using aluminum may help. All comments on biger tires and rims needed

the prairie will do just fine with that combo. i have 27" mudbuggs on my 300 prairie now. i had to buy rear itp steel wheels, just to get the buggs. i lightly sanded the itp steels, and my stock front rims, them primed and painted them matte black. i've been on a few rides and the paint has held up great. don't know how much the blackwaters weigh, but the 27" mudbuggs were the lightest tire i could find. i think 23lbs for the front, and 28 for the rear. the 27x10x12 front buggs weigh less than the 26x10x12 front bugg. that was the deciding factor in 27's or 26's. i will eventually buy aluminum rims when i have the money! i did have 27" vamps on it, but they were way to much for the 300, then i went to the buggs and it is like stock again. i do have a small hesitation, but nothing like when i had the vamps. your combo should work great!

I have blackwaters on my blaster, the stock tires were 21x10x8, these are 20x12x8 on .190 aluminum rims, they were just about the same weight as the stock tires with the OEM steel rims. I love them.. they really dig.. no power loss, a little loss of top speed but that is just because they are smaller then the stock.
here is a picture of them

I'd recommend them.

If you do alot of gumbo mud forget it these ties are not any good in that.
+=Great trail rding tire, fairly good wear, water
-=not good for gumbo, too close tire tread
