people say that the Kawachem has added lubricants and things like that in it, so that's all i use, never used regular motor oil, but I do know that dealers frown upon using regular motor oil, but maybe that's just because they want to make the sale.... I'm not sure myself but to be safe I just use the Kawachem.

I've always used mobil 1 synthetic. The added lubricants they put in motorcycle oils are used to help out with the meshing of gears in the tranny and have something to do with the wet clutch. Since the praries have no wet clutch and an automatic belt style(dry) tranny- I figured I'd lubricate my 4 stroke moter with one of the best oils around.
I read an article in an old "motorcycle consumer reports" magazine and it compared the long term viscosity of a lot of different oils. The mobil one oil came out holding a lot higher viscosity rating when compared to the others after all where run through the same motorcyle for the same amount of miles. This included the manufactures " motorcyle " oils.

I have used amsoil this past year and it worked graet.
I also used the mobile one even know I have had horrible experiences in the past in racing engines.
The results of the mobile one, another smoked clutch.
The results of the amsoil, quieted all engine and tranny noise and also ran much cooler.
The comment to go to auto zone for mobile one, I have spent months trying to find the mobile one motorcycle oil and have not seen it yet, so were is it!!!!!
I have been building and racing race machines for over twenty years, Amsoil gets two thumbs up from me!!!!!!!!!!!!
