For anyone interested I have finally got my pics online. The adapter I made enables me to add a K&N clamp on air filter to the stock airbox.

It is a combination of plastic and nylon "I think". I got it out of the scrap bin at work. I am trying to find out what it is called. I know that it is very tough to cut and should last a lifetime. I mounted it before taking any measurements or making a template big mistake. I dont mind you copying the design. If a person had a welder he might could make it out of 1/8" steel cut the hole and weld a tube on it and shape it to fit. Im glad you liked it. Keep me informed if you decide to make one.

Thanks drincbud. I just got back from VA. I used a 2" ABS tube to clamp the K&N on. The universal K&N I used came from Dennis Kirk. It has an OD of 3.5" and is 6" long. The ID "the part that slips over the 2" ABS tube" is 2 7/16". This is a perfect fit. The Dennis Kirk part number is 30-521 and cost $27.99

Playing with the jet kit at the moment will post what works best and what "pitfalls" to watch out for because there are some. Talk with you all later.
