Default trail boss not revving correctly

hi, we just got a 2001 trailboss 330 fourstroke the other day and today it started to sputter and skip out like it was not getting any gas, but only at a higher rpm. at idle and quarter throttle its fine, once u punch it it bogs down and skips. we checked the airfilter, cleaned the fuel lines and tank, pulled the carb out to clean everything, and still doing the same thing. any suggestions?

If you are certain the fuel supply is good, the carb main and pilot jets are open, the valves are set at .006 intake and exhaust, then I would head into the clutch area as worn rear clutch ramp buttons OR a broken spring, worn out belt, can cause limiting at high rpms also, almost mimicking a fuel related problem. Just a thought off top of my head?? If its a 2001 model its a 325,the 330 came out in 2003(being trivial again!) OPT

im not completely sure of the fuel suplly im positive the lines are clear and its getting plenty of air, we will pull the carb appart fully and check everything, if thats fine then i will head into the clutch but the wheeler will still do the same in neutral, would the clutch problem still effect the motor in that gear?

NO, clutch shouldn't affect it the same in neutral! Plus make sure the fuel tank vent line and carb vent lines are open. Keep us updated. OPT
