I need to replace my right rear carrier housing and the part # off my bike is 5131738. When i ordered a used one it came up 5134206 replaces this one. The one I received doesnt appear to have a P/N stamped into it and the diameter is too small not letting the boot go into it. Obviously this isnt the right one but how do I know if this is a 4206 housing? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 

5131758 is the correct number,you were sent the rear hub for a 2005 model 500 and later,there is a difference in diameter!! 99 models were the transition year from u-joint to cv drive shafts! You ordered used?? If so maybe you can return to the seller?? A lot of parts are not marked are even have have a different part # than the oem#(may show the manufacturer part # not the dealer # ) OPT

 

5131738 right?? you put 58 or do i have the wrong number?? When i look at parts diagram it gives me 5131738 then beside it, it says replaced by 5134206

 

SORRY, should be 5131738 NOT 58! What parts manual are you using? Polaris website doesn't show it other than 5131738 for the 99 model and the 5134206 starting on the 2005 models! Google "Pure Polaris Parts Catalog", click on "browse" will show breakdown of ALL Polaris products. OPT
