I am not sure what year it is. I mainly just want it for street riding around the neighborhood for my nephew. It may be too powerful, in my opinion.

But I would rather spend the extra $100 on this than getting a used 2005 Raptor 350 for $1,900

What is your opinion?

JMO, but it's not made to ride on the street, so no I wouldn't recommend it.

You haven't told us anything about your nephews capabilities (age, size, riding abilities) for us to even begin recommending one over another.

 

Thats a very nice bike for 2grand! If I was closer Id be all over that! But yeah not a good bike to ride arnd the street on. Id go with the yamaha.

 

I agree. Just saying it's your nephew would have me thinking he may be young. I wouldn't put my nephew on a ds and he's in his 20's. Just know his riding skills.
