Should I buy a 2008 Can-Am DS 250 for my nephew?

He is around 6'0, 180 lbs. and will primarily be street cruising it.
I am getting it for $1,300. What do you think?
No title but owner can give bill of sale.

Out of all the ones (I'm losing count) of the ones you're looking at, this has to be the worst. It's narrower than the others you looked at and will tip over easier. Plus, the one I had for the wife had no guts.
Look, you're pretty intent on putting someone on an off road machine that just isn't designed for street use.
Go ahead and get the ds 650 and a video camera. The crash will be spectacular.

this is a trick question, right?

I assume if he's looking to use an off-road atv, that was designed for off-road use, tested for off-road use, engineered to be used and built for....... you guessed it, off-road use-
then he's going to be upgrading the chassis, suspension, tires, electrical & exhaust system for "on-road" use

you might also want to buy a few dozen carrier bearings while you're upgrading everything else

or take the safer route and just buy a can-am spyder.
I've actually been thinking of buying an air plane and turning it into a boat...
