Quick question.
The clear plastic cover to view gas level on my gas cap is missing. Is it now wise to get a whole new gas cap? With that clear plastic piece gone, will moisture, dirt, etc. eventually work its way down through the cap into the gas tank?

I guess instead of buying a whole new cap I could make my own clear piece to fit and use a sealant to hold it in place.

 

Get a new cap! Pumped a lot of water out of customers tanks that didn't! OPT

 

Will do! Atv is garaged now, but will get a new one.
