Default 04 Warrior No start (Help, im a noob lol)

Okay so I'm a noob to atv's. I bought a 2004 Warrior from a guy who said it only needed a battery. After buying a new battery I rushed it off the charger excited took it out and only heard it click from the starter solenoid. I kept at it and finally it turned but hardly.

So I tried boosting the battery with my car (not running) It gave it a "healthy" click out of the solenoid but still not turning over. I let it charge for a few like that then try again. Same healthy click buy after keeping at it Got it to turn over like a full rotation but it didnt fire. I thought the starter was toast.

I Tried pulling it off but the rear tires just locked up when I popped the clutch, to no avail.

I pulled the plug to check for spark and it was fouled. I bought a new one then realized just hitting the starter switch wont show me if I'm getting spark, the starter has to turn the motor.

I pulled the starter today and its looks new (which reminded me he mentioned new starter) Then I looked inside and the gear had all the teeth and in good condition, so I put the starter back on. I put the new plug in and now I gotta wait till a friend comes to help me pull it off and try it again.

I was told this could be as simple as me not letting the battery charge like it should or there could be a problem with the CDI/Ignition coil.

I just took the starter back out and bench tested it. it works. Put it back in and low battery click from solenoid. I hook my booster box to the starter (same way I bench tested it) and it pretty much makes the same noise as when I just try to start the 4wheeler?

I'm puzzled.

I dont wanna throw parts at this thing. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I'd take it back to Mr. "only needs a battery" and make him one with the handlebars with a violent shoving motion............

Yeah, it kinda sucks buying a "newer" 4 wheeler to find out that its already blown. I've loved warriors since I was a kid so I finally picked up this 04 and now this. Blah..
