Default ITP Mudlites?

As winter approaches, and my current tires are quite worn, I was wondering would would be the best tire for me? I was looking into the Mudlites, but im not sure if that is what I'm looking for. I Ride a variety of terrain and plow in the winter, what would be a good tire for me?

Since it's 2wd you want as aggressive a tire as you can find but for plowing snow try to stay around stock size. Thinner tire is better for snow as it doesn't ride up on top. It gets down to the hard surface for traction. I've talked to people with the regular Mudlites and they weren't so happy with them in the snow. Bighorns seem to get rave reviews in snow and I've heard people like the ITP Terracross in the snow.

The ITP 589's are excellent in the snow. They are a very aggressive mud and snow tire.

Well I'm kind of on a budget. And how are the 589's in dry and trail like terrains?

589s aren't too bad in the hard pack and dry conditions. They're kind of a 489 with thicker and deeper lugs. Usually with a 6 ply rating for the sidewalls.

after looking on itp's website, the rim size is the middle number because im used to the rim size being the last number. My tire sizes are 25x12x9 will they fit.

589's are horrible in the snow, I had them on my rene 800. they are a very heavy tire that'll dig to china but not great at moving you forward in the snow.
I like the outlaws or kenda 538's for snow- even the mudlites are better then the 589's- 589's are good for dirt & mud.
