Default 03 sportsman 700 stator has no voltage

I have an 03 sportsman 700 with the ducati ignition. I determined the stator was sending .08 volts using a multi tester set on hold max settings. My first question should be is this the right way to do this test. If so i need to say i purchased a new stator from rmstators.com. Will this stator work with my ducati flywheel.because i am getting the same reading with the new stator. Wish i would have spent the additional 200 bucks and got the updated kit.would be grateful for any insight.

Welcome to the forum! Save yourself some grief!! Just order the kit, don't try to work around the Ducati system to save a few bucks,JUST replace it with the updated Kokusan complete ignition system! OPT
