Default 2000 Big Bear 400 4x4 carburetor??

Idle question. The little cable like piece that comes from the right side of the carburetor and go's to the left side that allows you to change the idle speed is broken on my Big Bear. Can I take that cable piece out and drill and tap it and put a machine screw in the little cables place to control the idle speed? I hardly ever have to adjust the idle so I really don't need the little cable piece. A screw would be fine.

Thanks, NYH1!

Sure would be fine! The cable is just to make it easier to adjust!
