i own an 86 trx 250r, i have fmf fatty & power core 2 silencer, wiseco piston, carbon-tech reeds. does a reed spacer add sufficient enough power to make it worth the 20 bucks???? is the power noticeable? thanx

as a reliable engine builder ...CURTIS SPARKS has said do not put them on they only hurt the engine for power...spend 45 dollars and get a 98 cr reed cage is what he said it is just like the paramid reed cage and it boost your power and increase you r horse power

do you mean the reed cage off of a 98 honda cr dirtbike??? if so, do the bolt patterns and everthing match up, or is there and mods necessary? is this cage just as good as the aftermarket ones? how much of a power increase should i expect? one last question, i want to get a bigger carb, i have fmf pipe & silencer, K&N w/lid removed, and hopefully a bigger reed cage,,, what would you recommend? i was thinking about a keihin 38mm pwk air striker. i'd hate to get one that is too big, but at the same time, i don't want one that isn't large enough for the portwork i plan to do later in the future. thanx a million

Don't bother with the spacer.
You want the best reeds? Get Delta V-Force.
Second best (what I use in my 86 R) are Boyesen.
