Default A few general Qs

Hey all, have a few questions that I thought the general population may have some input on:

Oil - is brand important, or is anything "injectable" considered acceptable? Any legitimate concerns in mixing two that are different? (no idea what the half-tank it has is).

Gas - Understanding that the evil corn-juice does these little guys no favors storage wise, it there anything to counteract this? Fuel stabilizer? Better to shut off the petcock and run it dry? or?

Adjustable CDI - I guess this is not really a general question, but I believe Eton & Polaris (at least) are common. Everything I have seen indicates settings 0-4, but this thing (Eton in my case) has an 8 position pot. on it, what gives?

This (Viper) will be my son's first machine, and even if he takes to it as I feel he will, there will likely still be 2 week windows at times that it sees no action, any other tips in that regard?

Thanks for any input.

JT

IMO::
Any injector oil should be fine. No problem mixxing.
I run premium fuel. If your worried about it sitting, use Sta-bil. It's a good idea.
To shut the petcock off and run dry isn't a bad idea also.
I can't comment on the CDI's.
