Default 2006 Suzuki LTZ50 Problem

I am having a problem with the quad and I think it is the parking brake, it acts like it is still on even when it is not. It will not rev, and has no power. What do you need to check? I cleaned the parking brake connection. Before it would start without the parking brake on, now it will only start with the parking brake on like it is supposed to. Also read that there is a built in rev limiter in the CDI. The bike starts right up and idles great. I re-built the carb and adjusted the valves thinking this might be the problem, but it is stilll doing the same thing. Really stumped by this little thing!

I have read the posts about upgrading the CDI in the LTZ50 to the LTZ90, does anyone know if this bypasses the parking brake? I was thinking abut doing this upgrade in the future, so if it does I will do it now.

Thanks
