Welcome to the forum! Make sure you have ONLY 1/16"- 1/8" slack at the thumb throttle. Will die if you have too much slack as the etc contacts will touch and kill the machine. Also check the idle adjuster on the carb and see if it just needs to be idled up. If none of this helps, could be carb, fuel related? Keep us updated! OPT

thank you for your reply. tried to adj. idle. you can hold throttle open with green button pushed and it will run but even with throttle open when you let go of start button it is like you hit the kill switch. this problem started with diying in reverse and having to restart and now it does this. already replaced the reverse swith on shifter box and also cdi box. does this help.
Thanks

Yes the limiter can fail in forward or reverse and kill the atv. Just pop the front panel, the limiter is close to the cdi and coil. Just unplug the black wire on the module from the circuit board. Now you won't have to push the yellow override when in reverse so be careful! You will have full power in reverse. Hope this solves the dying problem! Keep us updated. OPT
