Default Trouble starting

My son rode his Wildfire WF-90 today for approx 2 hours with no problems. After we returned home and attempted to start it, it would not turn over. It was cranking without any problems but would not turn over completely to start idling. Nothing appears out of order, gas is fresh, air cleaner is not clogged or dirty, battery is new as well as the starter. Any suggestions?

check for spark. you didn't mention that. pull the plug out, reconnect the plug wire, ground the spark plug to the jug, crank it. see spark? if no spark, start looking at the safety interlocks. brake switches, tether kill switches, handlebar kill switches. etc.....

This is a 4 stroke engine. I was thinking that it may be the plug but wondered why after riding it for 2 hours with no problems why it would suddenly not start

several things can go wrong in between rides and during rides. connections can become loose due to jarring the chassis, excessive vibrations, lack of a good quality control program back at the factory or at the local dealer, etc...it can happen to a lot of different machines. wiring failures are a leading cause of a no spark condition. inspect the plug, make sure the ceramic part ain't broken/cracked. test it as specified earlier. if it fails, replace it. NGK makes a good one. your local auto parts store may be able to cross reference from the factory plug. then check your wiring harness and all of the connections/terminals that you can find. make sure they're tight.

You da man Jaster.
I agree, check all connections. Maybe the plug wire came loose.
I see MyWifesQuad uses Autolite plugs.
