Default check valve

can anyone tell me what the check valve is for on the carb on a 350L polaris 2x4 and which direction it should point my son took it off

You can chunk it if you want to! Most of em end up missing anyway over the years from vibration. It's a one way valve supposed to be able to let fuel out and not allow water back up through it. Just have your side vent tubes on the carb routed up under the tank and have the one on the carb bottom long enough to go down past the frame so you can see if the carb ever starts leaking from the overflow. Plus on the old 2 strokes always turn the fuel valve off when not in use to keep gas from filling up the crank case.. OPT
