Default 2006 sportsman 800 efi battery draw

I have a 2006 polaris sportsman 800 efi that has a 0.40 draw from the 6 amp fuse. I have unplugged a bunch of the connectors and put dialectic grease in them just trying to find the short or bad connection with no luck any suggestions. Also last year my machine started just dieing after about an hour of ridding or so. This problem occurred the first time when the machine was not hot. The machine will start right back up and run fine. I've checked the gas for water none,I've checked the T-BAP and cleaned.

Welcome to the forum! The atv will have a small draw to maintain memory in the speedo. There will always be power on the red wire going into the speedo harness even with the key off. It's sometimes hard to check out the T-bap wiring because it could have an intermittent internal wiring break, not just a bare wire, wires can pull back just enough out of the connector itself, etc. Also have have had crank sensor harness bare wire problems on the 500,700 and 800 engines where the wires would rub against the engine and die from just a tiny strand of bare wire. Dieing problem could be either one of these or some other harness problem. For the most part we didn't have any sensor problems unless they were tampered with. Read the "sticky" above this section on sensor harness wiring problems if you haven't already done so. OPT
