$500 kodiak 400 4x4 needs connecting rod

im not sure if i should get it. its like perfect for the land i will be driving on but the connecting rod is $100 ( price is no prob ) but im not sure how to or how hard it would be to replace the connecting rod.... advice please!

Hi,
It depends whether or not you are very mechanically inclined and have the tools. This would require you to pull the motor out and completely tear it down. There might be something else wrong internally, you never know.
I guess if you can get it for the right price, and you are willing to do the job, then go for it.
