Dmc or White brothers
#2
Neither, for all the noise they give you it's not worth it. I might go back to the stock pipe because i am soo much louder and the cops here in NJ hate us as it is. I like the idea of going with an xr400 cam and a piston. This is all just my opinion, i dont want to sound like a jerk, but you are from NJ and you know how the cops are here, people love calling the cops on us.

I have had the same problem with choosing between the two. I have seen dyno runs on the both of them on a full race 440EX and they produce the same horsepower numbers.
Noise wise, you can tune the White Bros. Exhaust to 92 dbs and that noise level should be legal at every riding area. Now on the DMC you would have to buy a seperate spark arrestor to tune that pipe, and I e-mailed DMC and they said they can get the noise level right at 94dbs. Well I 'm chosing to get the White Bros. because it is the quieter of the two.
White bros $449
DMC $520 w/spark arestor

I am agonizing over this same choice too. I want to get the DMC but think I will go with the White Bros full system. I have the WB slip-on right now and think that it is almost too loud. In fact, I may just stick with the slip-on for a while- because I can't make up my mind.

yeah, i have a white bros slip on and i like it, but i wanna upgrade and i dont know which one to upgrade to. i like the white bros but i heard the DMC was a very good pipe. im probably gonna go with the white bros b/c of the sound level. and the cops dont bother me about the sound, they just bother me about where i ride.
