Question 1988 Yamaha Terrapro Spark Issues

I just picked up a 1988 Yamaha Terrapro in mostly good condition. It needed a battery out of the gate. Before even buying the battery I rebuilt the carburetor, fuel tank petcock, and steam cleaned the fuel tank, as they were all gummed up. I also changed the oil and installed a new spark plug. I purchased the battery, charged and installed. After 3 turns of the battery, and priming the fuel filter, it fired right up, and sounded great. I let it idle for appx 10 minutes and I started to notice smoke, normal for a motor that has sat for 3+ years. I applied full throttle and held it. It sounded awesome, and the smoke was dissipating. After about 30 seconds of full throttle it died. Im still getting fuel, but now no spark. I pulled the spark plug and cranked it over while watching the plug, nothing.

Default More of the same....

Now I have front and rear fenders off. Did a lot of cleaning of debris and such. Now I just need pointers on what to test with my voltmeter. Any ideas?

Go to tradebit.com or ebay and get yourself a manual, best $5 you can spend on it.
