2006 yamaha kodiack problems

2006 yamaha kodiack problems
I got a 2006 yamaha kodiack that has been just at random will die and then wont run. You can start it but it wont rev up. After it sits for a while it runs good for a couple days and then it will just do it again. Anybody got any idea what is wrong?

I've got a 05 kodiak 450 and never had that problem but maybe something is floating around in the fuel tank or a fuel filter. Might try loosening the gas cap to see if vents plugged. No expert here though.
