Default Tire???? on an 08 sportsman 800

Does anyone know if there would be any clearance issues to the tie rods and or the struts if I were to run a 26/9/12 front tire verses my stock 26/8/12 tire?

Thanx

i think 9" is what i ran and don't remember and issues w/ rubbing. 10" will rub for sure. but i also had aftermarket rims now that i think of it.

No rubbing depending on the tires tread. I recently put the maxxis zillas (9" wide fronts)on my 07 and the clearance is extremely tight. (1/8" tight!) I added washers to the backside of my wheels to get 1/4". Any aggressive tire with treads that wrap around the sides will be close but will fit.

There is a very good chance they will rub the tie rod ends if you are running OEM wheels.

Well I decided to go with a set of STI HD1's with a 4/3 offset 12"x7" and a set of STI Black Diamonds XTR's 26/9/12 fronts and 26/11/12 rears should be the ticket.

Thanx for all your help
