Default How I fixed my Honda ES Problem...Sticky?

2005 TRX 500FE ES

I was getting a code 3.

I tried EVERYTHING! Clutch adjustment, Angle Sensor, Tightened up/dielectric greased EVERY harness, Zener Diode in the combination meter, Tested EVERY component of the ES System, Took apart and cleaned old control motor, Bought a new Control Motor, New Battery, Tested rectifier/regulator, Oil change, Continuity and Ohmed EVERYTHING! You name it I tried it and it turns out that when probing the ECU 33p harness I loosened some of the female connections. I tried to take the thing apart to tighten up those too but it was nearly impossible. I'm sure some people fixed there's with a new wire harness but it could be this simple.

All I did was find the pins for the Angle Sensor System and bent them a hair with some needle-nose pliers and it fired right up. Unbelievable! I sat in front of that thing for at least 60 hours and it was SO simple...I feel like an idiot but I had literally done EVERY other connector and greased the ECU harness as well, among everything else you could possibly troubleshoot. I was going to bring it to a dealership today, but instead it's time to get firewood....HAH!

I appreciate everyone's help!
