Default Sportsman 500 H.O. Help

I'm thinking of changing the bendix in my '02 Sportsman 500 H.O.

What type of gasket sealer will I need for this job? Or Any other advice?

I am hoping this will not be too difficult.

Its a super easy job, take the recoil cover off and the bendix just wiggles out easily. I just used a silicone made for high temps. Here is a video of it

Water enters down the rope hole so I silicone the pull rope handle in its place (never use it anyways) then you know water will never get in again.

TLC,
Thanks for the post. It was your video that inspired me to take this on.

i just replace one of those on a bike i just repaired. it was $12.00 for a new gasket as it had silcone on it and it still leaked on the guy. don't know if he did it right or not though.
