Default Sportsman 700 rear hub ?s

I am trying to get my left side rear hub back together and it ridiculously tight.
I just changed out the rear bearings and cv shafts. All has been going back together without the Murphy's stepping in until I got to putting the hub back on over the shaft.I got it in enough to get the crown nut started but I cannot get the shaft all the way into the hub to get the cotter pin in.Crown nut is getting about two full rather easy turns and then gets really tight when trying to pull the shaft through.I do not want to force anything.I did clean it before reassembly.Nothing is cross threaded.
Anyone run into this problem yet. I Wanna Ride!!!!!

If it's what I think it is,I've had the same problems when installing new shafts into the hubs. "IF" you can get a washer on and are able to start the nut, just tighten it on down. IF not just use the nut itself and tighten down to allow enough room to install a washer, remove the nut, install the washer, then tighten down the nut.I've tried heat before to no avail! You may scar up the hub face a little by the nut,but it will be covered by the washer. Sometimes the replacement machined parts dimensions are a hair off, usually larger! OPT

Thanks! I really appreciate the speedy reply.
I will try that. I have an electric impact gun I was thinking of using.Any thoughts on that?

Impact is all I ever used. IF in doubt on how many threads you have started on the nut,use a hand ratchet first, then impact it on when the washer is installed. Just so you don't strip it out. OPT

Now for some fancy filing.

All better now! Thanks again!
After going through all of this I am lost to why it so difficult. It went together easily this time

Welcome to my world OR I should say ex world! Glad you have in on though. Like I said don't use an impact before you have a good bite on the threads and even then you can still strip it out and have to use a thread file or a die set to clean it up. Once you get in on it will be easier the next time if you have to remove the hub for any reason.Parts just have to mate. OPT
