Default Aftermarket Radiator

So, as I was trying to fix my gearcase issue, I came upon another. I am not sure if this was caused from removal or installation, but somehow there was a hole punctured into the lower left corner of the radiator. Now after I removed it, I have come to the conclusion that this thing is beyond repair. Many of the fins are bent, all along the bottom. It would probably cost as much to fix as it would to replace, if it can even be fixed. Im am just wondering if anyone has put an aftermarket radiator in, as im trying to save a few bucks. I cant believe polaris wants almost 400.00 for a new one, and cant find a used one. I still have a hard time paying almost 300.00 from a discount store. Aftermarket one is almost 200.00. BTW this is on my 05 sportsman 400

Make sure the aftermarket one will bolt up and the intake and return line fittings are the same as the original,if not I'd stay with oem and not go through the pains of making an aftermarket one work. $200 versus $275 for an oem may not be worth the cost savings. Neither one are cheap if compared to auto radiators, but there's not a whole lot of options on atvs since they don't have as many suppliers as they do auto parts. http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...2005&fveh=5656

thanks for the help OPT. I'm going to try to have it fixed first. But I got to thinking and I would rather go with OEM. It was cheapcycleparts that was 275.00 right?

No, this was Cycle Parts Warehouse,(about as cheap a place as I've found on most parts)but you might check other online sites such as Cheap Cycle Parts (the two names are similar and confusing) as to cost +shipping charges. OPT

Hard to trust used radiators as you could get one like you already have. I've looked at several sites, most average around $286 or so plus shipping. Again not cheap. Here's the company that supplies them, don't know if they can help or just whole sale to companies. Products « VGT Corporation
