So my 4 year old rides a trx 70. Runs great except sometimes it stalls (it always starts right back up though) When I first got it (4 months ago) cleaned carb, new air filter and gas tank cleaned. I was told the petcock was broken. So I put a simple plastic shut off valve in the fuel line. We just shut off fuel when he's done riding, if we don't the fuel leaks into the carb and floods it out.

I bought new petcock off of ebay, when I put it on I cannot get it to seal (leaks out of bottom). It seems a bit thinner then the original. Also it did not come with a new seal, My seal off the old one looks great, so obviously I used it. Maybe it needs a new seal?

Any ideas? Anyone had any luck with the ebay petcocks?

Maybe it's not even the petcock that is making it stall??

I've been recommending the simple on/off valves.. Looks like I'll remain doing that.
If your not turning the new petcock off, nothing will change.
I realize you cleaned the carb, but I'd rcommend doing it again, pulling both jets and the float needle and seat. Cleaning/inspecting all parts well.
Then I'd out the on/off valve back on and utilize it.
