Default 2003 Polaris90 won't start, help

I have a 2003 Polaris 90 sportmans for my son, he was ridinig it yesterday and it died, it will turn over but will not start. I don't have a manual for it and wondering if anyone can lead me to some troubleshooting on this atv.

First things I'd do is check that you have spark and that compression is at least 100 psi on this little one.

I pulled plug and held it to frame and cranked it over and didn't see a spark so what would be the next step? Thank you for helping

Disconnect the black wire from the cdi module and see if it has spark. This eliminates the kill circuit as a problem area. If still no spark, then with an ohm meter check the BLACK wire coming from the stator to the White/Red wire. Should be around 450 ohms resistance Black to Black/Red should be 800 ohms,Black to Yellow/Red 0.5 ohms,Black to White 0.5 ohms. Then Black to ground, should not short to ground. Plus you can pull the plastic cover from the stator and clean up around the flywheel and pick up coil for any mud or dirt. These little ones are bad about this and stator over heating and shorting out also. You can also jump the two wires on the safety switch to see if the switch is causing problems. If the stator checks out then possible cdi or coil problem.
