Default 2006 400ex cam chain replacement!!!

Hey guys its me again. Ran into a problem trying to install new hd cam chain. Took the right case cover off. Remove clutch pressure plate and plates. Straightened out the staked nut. But can remove it. The clutch basket spins freely. I removed the main drive but no problem. Stuck a flat head in between the gears and baaazinggg . Loosened right up. But the clutch nut isn't so easy. Know of any home remedies for this solution. I know Honda sells a clutch tool. (Looks like vice scrips with arms and two nubs to put inside of the clutch spring holes) but can't afford more tools. Any help is appreciated.

I think rocky mountain atv sells the tool you need for pretty cheap.
