Question 08 500HO high beam wires?

My high beam was not working on my 08 SP 500HO,when i turned the bulb to take the light out the bulb/harness & wires came with it.So now I have the bulb with only about 4" of wire one yellow one brown. The ends of the two wires only have about 1/16th to 1/32nd of bear wire so i am thinking that the original connection was not good.I tested the bulb and it is good so my problem must have been this poor connection. My problem is that I can't see where the yellow & brown connect. There is a main haeness behind the head lite that comes from the kill switch & hi/low switch so i'm thinking it must connect in this harness but where.Does anyone know where they connect to? Thanks Tux.

You may need to remove the headlight lens to get into this harness area to find the Yellow and Brown wires. This is where all the twisting and turning happens and wires can get cut and damaged. I've had this happen several times. Just splice the wiring and use a little sheathing if needed to protect from future damage.
